Chess Club
There are numerous benefits to children playing chess including: enhancing creativity, problem solving, memory, concentration, intellectual maturity, self esteem, and more. Scripa’s HOPE is proud to have a Chess Club twice a week to increase and expand learning for homeschoolers!

Culture Fair
Students spend a month researching at the learning center and at home to learn about the culture of a specific country. The culmination of this research is an amazing Culture Fair event where they showcase their learning!

Christmas Play
For about 6 weeks leading up to the Christmas season, our program rehearses and prepares for an amazing Christmas play production. In the past , we put on “A HOPEful Christmas” which was a re-telling of Jesus’ birth. We recently put on, “The Grinch Who Came to HOPEville!” The production covers a wide variety of abilities outside of a typical academic classroom and is cross-curricular as well.

Project-Based Learning
Project-Based Learning is a fun, creative and meaningful approach to learning. Throughout the school year, students are fully engaged working on projects that end with a product of some sort to demonstrate their mastery of content.

Highly Qualified Tutors
One of the incredible parts of Scripa’s HOPE is the assistance families gain while homeschooling. Our learning center provides highly qualified and expert tutors to help bring your child to the next level. Students of all ages and academic levels are gaining the confidence and mastery that this next generation needs!

Friendships
Scripa’s HOPE provides homeschoolers the opportunity to learn with different ages. The protoge effect allows younger ones to be inspired by older students and older students to serve as leaders. HOPE also allows homeschoolers to come to a learning center where they can meet and make lifelong friends.
